My first cut at letter for PM Databases
I am responding to your requirement on Dice.com and am applying for the job of PM with Database skill set (Job ID: TPM-KS). I do believe I am very qualified for this position for the following compelling reasons:I have been a Project Manager dealing solely with Oracle DB related activities that deal with tasks at the enterprise/business unit level. In the last 6 years as a Sr Oracle Project Manager, I have dealt extensively with tasks related to Oracle upgrades to latest versions, Technology refresh projects that involve migrating databases and applications to new OS, Oracle and OS patching, Disaster Recovery and Planning, leading missions with fact finding in Query Tuning and Optimization efforts involved with new features releases, application rewrites, hardware migrations or Oracle upgrades. I have worked in niche areas of managing the installs and release processes for Business Intelligence products such as Hyperion, Jasper BI suite and Informatica. I have helped the PMO office streamline database release processes, developing process flow for merger and acquisition activities. Other factors that do make me enjoy my job and be successful at is, that I have a very compelling can do attitude and possess good straegic planning skills, communication skill, negotiations skills and relationship building skills that are equally important.I have accomplished all this while still maintaining strong technical skills leveraging various features of the Oracle database. Regards
